I find the best way to help a reader understand your message is to talk to them, not at them. All of the work featured here was designed to best suit information-seeking needs and serve as reference materials for future use.

Customizing Bullet Point Options
Narrated Powerpoint Slideshow
I created this video to walk undergraduate students through the process of customizing bullet points in PowerPoint. The style is playful and lighthearted as it was designed to be as entertaining as it was informative.

Copyright Guide for Professional Writers
eManual
Copyright law is something that’s important for writers to know about. Whether creating a presentation for a client, designing a brochure, building a website, or posting a homework assignment from an electronic publication, professional writers and instructors need to know how intellectual property works and how it influences their projects.
As a member of a larger team, I edited and critiqued the other sections of the Copyright Guide. While each person wrote a different section, we collaboratively edited and revised the Copyright Guide to create a cohesive and digestible document to help any professional writer understand the basics of copyright.

Landing & "About Us" Pages
Online course instruction is the way of the future, so course instructors must be prepared to meet the challenges of web accessibility if they want to create an inclusive classroom. I designed the home page and "about us" page for the Global Society of Online Literacy Educators in order to help those new to the experience find resources, view accessibility standards, and test their materials. These pages were hand-coded in Dreamweaver and then saved as screenshots as the finished product never went live. You can click on each to view in a pop-up window.
